The College of Fine Arts Kerala offers focused academic training in three core disciplines - Painting, Sculpture, and Applied Art. Each department blends studio practice with theory, encouraging students to develop a strong foundation, personal vision, and professional discipline within their chosen filed.
The Department of Applied Art at the College of Fine Arts Kerala approaches design as an extension of artistic thinking. Rooted in fine art practice, the program nurtures artists who communicate through design — blending visual sensitivity, conceptual clarity, and cultural awareness. Through studio work, research, and critical discourse, students engage with typography, illustration, image-making, and media to craft meaningful visual communication that is both reflective and responsible.
