Professor Grade I in Painting
Completed BFA in Painting from College of Fine Arts, Thiruvananthapuram (1996) and MFA in Painting from Jamia Millia University, New Delhi (1999). Received National Eligibility Test for Lectureship ( NET ) and JRF from UGC, New Delhi in 1999. Taught in Raja Ravi Varma College of Fine Arts, Mavelikara for sixteen years. Also were the Chairman of Board of Studies, Faculty of Fine Arts, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam during 2009-2012.
Awarded State Award for Painting by Kerala Lalitha Kala Akademi, Govt. of Kerala in 2005. Received many prestigious scholarships and fellowships including National Scholarship for young artists from HRD Ministry, Govt. of India, Scholarship from Arnawas Vasudev Trust, Bangalore, Kanoria Center for Arts, Ahmedabad and Kerala Lalitha Kala Akademi. In 2007, visited China as part of cultural exchange programme organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Govt. of India. Also worked in different Art Centres and Studios like Garhi Studio, Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi and Kanoria Centre for Arts, Ahmedabad.
Major solo shows include Displaced/Misplaced at Chithrasala Art Gallery, Kerala Lalithakala Akademi, Thrissur(2018), Beyond the Contours at Durbar Hall Art Centre, Kochi ( 2006 ), File Photos at Arpana Art Gallery, Academy of Fine Art and Literature, New Delhi ( 2004 ) and Memories at Rabindra Bhavan,
New Delhi (1999). Also participated in many national and international group shows. Portable mind, Spring / Break Art Show at New York, Odyssey: Dare to Imagine, Union Station Art Gallery, Washington DC,
Loc - Line of Control at Birla Akademi of Art & Culture, Kolkata, SO(i)LITUDE, Durbar Hall Art Centre, Kochi, Clipboard, Pune Biennale and Double Enders are few among them. Curated Shows include Clipboard, Octave (2015), Urvi (2014) and Interface (2013).
Also been part of many art camps and Land Art projects in Kerala.
Have wrote notable short stories and articles in malayalam magazines and social media.
